Abstract
The present paper deals with the main
problems, connected with the linguo-stylistic features
of the so called modernized literary texts and
their translation. Two peculiarities of them are established:
the using of words representing the culture of
Ancient Rome from one hand and the modern lexical
units from the other. This moment defines different
possible methods of translation: 1) the so called
modernizing equivalency (the using of anachronism
in both languages); 2)the rendering of anachronism
in original text with either neutral or the word,
proper to the Roman culture; 3) the using of anachronism
in translation when it absent in original text.

Classification of texts liable for automatic
translation is of crucial theoretical and practical
importance for increasing Machine Translation
productivity. The article considers main principles to
take into account when efficient classification is being
developed. Necessity of making classification on
the basis of texts lexis is substantiated. Its also noted
that possible solution to the problem is through detailed
description of texts lexical groups and necessity
to use this data when machine dictionaries are

from allied terminologies. One more specific source
of polysemy is revealed. It is observed when a term
