Abstract
This article deals with the language and structural peculiarities of V. Putin's presidential rhetoric. The research is based on the analysis of various verbal means of persuasion as well as structural and semantic features of the president's speech functioning in the presidential interview. Investigated elements make up «rational» and «emotional» devices creating V. Putin's presidential image and are connected with social and ideological factors as well as with V. Putin's individual speech peculiarities.

Abstract
The present paper deals with the main aspects of the activity of F. Fortunatov - one of the most prominent figures among Russian linguists. It is mentioned, that his views represented on one side the realization and development of the postulates, formulated by the members of the Neogrammarian school, whereas on the other they are treated as one of the sources of the new linguistic paradigm, the formation of which took place after Fortunatov's death. This may explain the fact, that although his legacy, as a rule, has always been highly estimated, in different periods of linguistics development the attention was concentrated on its different aspects.

Abstract
The article analyses the influence of morphological and syntactical typology of phraseological units on the formation of the system of macro-and micro fields of the concept «Human Labour Activities» and its verbal expression by phraseological units in the English, German and Russian languages. Correlation of phraseological units with morphological and syntactical classes, which enables to form a macro-and microstructure identification model of the concept is analyzed. The author's model of the analyzed concept structure is represented. The model includes five macro and twenty one micro fields verbalized by appropriate phraseological units that reflect the peculiarities of world perception and assessment of Human Labour Activities by representatives of the linguistic cultures under study.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of ways and methods of studying a country and its citizens' image in foreign mass media texts from the point of view of political linguistics. The concept of “image of the country” is analysed. The article considers such modern areas of linguistics as linguistic pragmatics, corpus linguistics and quantitative linguistics. Some examples received with the help of traditional and quantitative methods are given.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the topical issue of studying communication failures in utilitarian discourse. The situation of failure of sender's message communicative intentions is a communication failure. The reasons for the failure of communication in a practical discourse are divided into short and long in duration, and linguistic and extra-linguistic in substance. Understanding the types and causes of communication failures will serve to eliminate errors in a practical discourse.

Abstract
The use of the borrowed English professional jargon in the megalopolis professional discourse is analysed in the article. Besides, main ways of professional jargon formation are considered. Tendency to all-round use of English borrowings by native speakers of the European languages is one of the main characteristics of the present linguistic situation. This tendency is most evident in economics, mainly in the use of professional jargon in economic discourse.

Abstract
The article presents analysis and classification based on components semantic continuousness of term-phraseme and professionalism-phraseme in the professional field of stock market. It is shown that the most common way of producing this type of syncretic linguistic units is metaphorization of common words and terms which are included into these units.

Abstract
The article presents an attempt to describe the language means used to convey pain from the first and the third person singular. On the basis of the Internet health forum messages the peculiarities of the structure and the language of pain description were analyzed and the differences in the verbalization of pain by the person experiencing it and the person describing the pain of another person were traced. Verbalizing pain from the third person singular, the author feels uncomfortable and tries to change the perspective and either to describe somebody's pain as the pain he would feel in the same situation (I know this pain / I have experienced it) or to abstract from somebody's pain and report it, referring to the words of the person in pain (I retell the words of another person) or to describe somebody's pain referring to his own perception (I see / observe what another person feels). Therefore all the verbs used to express pain were divided into three groups.

The article analyses peculiarities of functioning of words-realia, which denote valleys and lakes in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It considers synonyms, which name these objects and their connotations. Spheres and limits which the conditions of communicative situation lay down on their usage are systemized.

Abstract
The present article is about theoretical premises of the research of the concept 'art'. The article presents the correlation of the denotations such as 'meaning', 'notion', 'sense', 'concept' from linguocultural position. The article gives an overview of the approaches to the study of concepts. Analysis of the classifications of concepts according to various criteria is presented. Also the author gives a brief review of art development history. In addition, the article contains a survey of the existing propositions on the research of the concept under study and suggests methods to study it.

Abstract
The notion of feminity and masculinity is different in different languages. Each linguoculture has its own definition of these concepts. A very interesting part of the world-image of every language is how such a unique notion as “Old age” is being depicted as it is not only a biological but also a psychological and sociological category. This article aims to analyze how semantic group “Old age” is described in Russian, English, German and Italian masculine world-image.

Abstract
The main focus of this paper is to illustrate and explain our interpreting and translation actualities which have been continuously confronted with digital technology and its perceptive-oriented culture. Nowadays digital society demands us to transfer and receive the messages as quickly as possible without any reflection for profound comprehension. For the purpose, I set up firstly some etymological concepts of interpreting and translation, which in the present situation could be useful to implement these tasks.

Abstract
The article studies the author's individual style as a text category. Taking into consideration modern linguistic approaches to interpretation of text categories the authors analyze cognitive aspect of the problem. The analysis allows to conclude that though cognitive and linguistic forms of information coding are presented as different forms of knowledge presentation they are closely interrelated. The authors state that preservation of the author's individual style is possible only when the translator takes into account peculiarities of the author's vocabulary, sentence constructions and use of metaphors. The authors illustrate possible mistakes usually made by translators if they don't take into account the author's individual style by the examples from I. Fleming and J. Steinbeck's works translations.

Abstract
This article presents an attempt to reveal dominants of verbal shortage ontology such as its properties in verbal communication system, distinctive features to differentiate it from other communication systems and shortage manifestation correlation types in bilingual communication. The analysis is based on authentic texts in German and Russian, as well as their translations. The greater complexity of verbal shortage ontology as compared to the semiotic one is demonstrated. It is shown that adequate conveying of shortage in bilingual situation is possible, and that holistic approach to translation is preferable.

Abstract
Comparative analysis of argumentative means of evaluation in British and Russian analytical articles of quality newspapers is presented in the article. The objectives of the analysis is to elicit evaluative argumentative means, the level of objectivity of evaluation and its linguistic phrasing (conveyance) in the mediatext of the given genre-functional type. The comparative analysis also reveals the linguistic forms of evaluative means through argumentation in both languages. The article concerns the most frequent argumentative evaluative means.

Abstract
The article deals with the specific stratum of substandard Russian language: camp social dialect. It also aims at analyzing the influence of camp social dialect on the lingual personality of the camp inmates. The formation of Russian-camp diglossia is viewed as a regular process, as camp social dialect became a natural means of communication among the camp dwellers. The reasons of camp social dialect formation and the specific nature of the lingual personality in camp culture are studied in the article.

Abstract
The article analyzes causal and conditional complex sentences with the conjunction COMO. The aim of the study is to determine the formal features of these clauses, their similarities and differences. Equivalence of conditional clauses «COMO + subjuntivo» and «SI + indicativo» is explained. The semantic characteristics of the conjunction COMO are presented. Use of “subjuntivo” in causal clause is discussed. The results can be used for classification of subordinate clauses and analysis of multifunctional nature of the conjunction COMO.

Abstract
The present work is devoted to research in the field of Russian art criticism discourse in the form of written interpretations of paintings. The interpretations of paintings of different genres created at different times served as the material for the analysis. The main linguistic characteristics of the art criticism discourse are examined in the article. The experiment with naive native speakers allowed to reveal certain peculiarities of nonprofessional art interpretations and to compare them with the texts of professional art critics.
