Abstract
Aim. The aim of this work is to identify the evolution of ideas about the mythological creature phoenix in the Chinese linguistic picture of the world. The article examines the main versions of the origin of the phoenix image, and also shows the rich cultural content of the word fenghuang and the evolution of gender relations of the phoenix image in the history of Chinese culture. Methodology. In the research the methods of diachronic and component analysis were used. Results. In the course of the work, the evolution of the concept of the phoenix in the Chinese linguistic picture of the world was revealed: at the beginning as a totem bird, later the image of the phoenix was associated with the moral system of Chinese culture, then it became a symbol of wealth, longevity, the Chinese nation, well-being and happiness. Research implications. The material and results of the research can be used in lectures on intercultural communication and in the practice of language teaching and translation at the faculties of foreign languages.

Abstract
Aim. Screen text is a semiotic unity with multiple interconnected meanings, enclosed by the author, revealed during the text actualization on the screen, and meanings found by the recipient in the process of perception. The main aim of this article is to elicit and describe the peculiarities of interaction of these two implicit poles (the author and the recipient). Methodology. To reach this goal constant manifold bonds between the units of the text at different levels are studied and analysed in Instagram videotext “Mother against the Internet” by @veydi_rush. Philosophical general-logic, general scientific empirical and disciplinary methods are used. Results. As the result relative operational site map of interpretation process is suggested. Research implications. The scheme enables to disclose hidden meanings of the text and helps to reconstruct its general idea from their entity

Abstract
Aim. The purpose of this article is to analyze the formation of the perfusion science terms in the English language and to give their systematic description which makes it possible to determine the limits of this terminology, as well as clarify the term formation tendencies in the so-called “new” terminologies. Methodology. The main methods of research are quantitative methods (statistical, parametric ones), analytical methods (semantic and historical analysis, identifying the leading formal-structural and semantic models, the method of mass sampling). Results. Conclusions based on research contribute to theoretical understanding of the present day state of terminological systems, their structure and etymology. Research implications. The research describes linguistic peculiarities of “new” sciences, structural and etymological features of perfusiology terms.

Abstract
Aim. The article aims to analyze the body of lexical means verbalizing the concept WOMAN in Jack London’s “The Little Lady of the Big House” and reveals its denotational, evaluative and figurative conceptual features in the literary work under study. Methodology. The paper employs a complex system of methods including componential and contextual analysis combined with narrative inquiry. Under the technique of continuous sampling, the body of recurrent linguistic means constituting the nominative field of the concept WOMAN was selected enabling the author to define the semantic elements accounting for the construction of the lexicalized concept in the literary work. Results. The findings of the study reveal the individual connotations attached by the American author to the concept WOMAN as well as the range of its metaphorical representations in the novel under analysis. Research Implications. The article contributes to a better understanding of the multi-layer structure of the concept WOMAN by providing relevant culture-specific knowledge verbalized in a literary text, and aims to recreate a specific fragment of the American linguistic worldview.

Abstract
Aim. This article presents the analysis of the government financial auditing terminological system in the German-language. Methodology. The structure and texts of legislative and regulatory acts of the government financial audit authorities, both national German and international, were studied. The governmental financial audit bodies glossaries and the proceedings of the Bundesrechnungshof were also examined. In this study the semantic analysis method, observation and generalization of discovered linguistic facts were used. Results. The results of the analysis show that the German-language terminology of external financial audit is a term system based on the symbiosis of the conceptual apparatus of various professional fields of activity. Research implications. The presented work may have theoretical and practical significance both for philologists and for the professionals in the field of the external government audit. This research and its results can serve as the basis for further study of the terminology systems of financial control.

Abstract
Aim of the article is the analysis of the ways of verbalization of the concept “dismissal” in modern English. Methodology. The material for this study was data from a continuous sample of English documentation regulating work with personnel, websites of personnel services, business English dictionaries, as well as manuals on teaching English as a foreign language in the field of business and personnel management, English-English and English-Russian / Russian-English dictionaries. Results. The concept of “dismissal” in modern English has a core and periphery. The core of the concept under consideration is within the framework of the normative literary language, while the periphery is beyond the scope of this norm and quite stylistically expressive vocabulary (euphemisms and dyshemisms) leads to it. Research Implications are in the fact that the results of the study of the linguo-cognitive phenomenon of dismissal can serve as a source of information on ethical standards in the field of personnel management, the mentality of native English speakers, and their value system.

Abstract
Aim of the article is to identify the features of using metalinguistic parallels in scientific, academic and everyday discourses based on the material of the German, English and Russian languages in synchrony. Methodology. The research is devoted to the comparative analysis of the presence of metalinguistic parallels in scientific, academic and everyday discourses. Using the discursive method, the article analyzes the features of metalinguistic parallelism for the first time. Results. The main results of the research confirm the importance of the discursive approach in the study of lexical units, as for the discursive features of metalinguistic parallels, the analysis has shown that they are used primarily in scientific discourse. When choosing each lexeme, the context of the discourse must be taken into account. Research implications. The theoretical significance of the results is determined by the fact, that the information available in the theory of terminology about the phenomenon of metalinguistic parallelism, as well as its manifestations in some types of discourse, is expanded. The practical implications are associated with the possibility of using language material and the results of its analysis in the practical activities of terminologists and discoursists, teachers, students, undergraduates, postgraduates.

Abstract
Aim. The article addresses issues related to the use of English as a means of intercultural communication in the academic environment by postgraduate students, touching upon the relevant problem of teaching postgraduates to translate their scientific papers into English. Methodology. The authors analyzed a large sample of terminological units, their structure and semantics, and matched them with their English equivalents in order to identify recurrent translation patterns. Results. The authors point out the importance of correct translation of terminological units in scientific texts to guarantee the quality of resulting translation. Various techniques of rendering educational terms are interrelated with their typological characteristics, some prominence is given to certain culture-bound differences between the terminological systems of Russia and English-speaking countries, in particular, the discrepancy between the semantic structure of terms and their compatibility. Research implications. The authors summarize the available empirical data on the translation of educational terminology, the obtained results can be used in the practice of teaching English to postgraduate students.

Abstract
Aim of this paper is to study the methods of translating Chinese dialectisms, idioms, proverbs, realities, and historical allusionss from the perspective eco-translatology, including linguistic, cultural and communicative aspects. Methodology. The author studies the key concepts of eco-translatology: selection and adaptation, analyzes specific examples in Red Sorghum. As a research method, the method of comparative analysis of originals and translations was used. Results. The results of the study show that the translator often uses literal, free, descriptive translations and the way of adding comments in order to achieve an ecological balance between the ST, TT and readers. Research implications. The theoretical significance is confirmed by the presentation of the new translation model and the extension of the theoretical study of translation. Practical significance is reflected in possibility of using the results in the practice of literary translation from Chinese into Russian.
