Abstract
The paper deals with some aspects of the nature of the term as a specific language unit and its relation to the word. The authors analyze the term paradigmatics (polysemy, homonymy, synonymy, antonymy) as well as a relation between the term and the nomen and the process of interlingual harmonization in terminology and the unification of terms. These issues are studied with general scientific research method of the special literature analysis and a comparative method. The study of terms as specific language units provides a possibility to clarify some aspects of the term theory and the results can be used in the development of different term systems and the terminology teaching in higher education institutions.

The article explores the issue of lexical and semantic properties of dysphemisms in modern English-language corporate communication (British and American varieties of the English language). The authors establish the place of dysphemisms in corporate communication, identify their essential characteristics accounting for their lexical and semantic properties, and also consider the role of dysphemisms in the implementation of some key speech strategies in the framework of corporate communication. The study uses the methods of continuous sampling, definition analysis, text analysis, component analysis and complex analysis of vocabulary units. The scientific novelty of the article stems from its focus on the processes of dysphemy, the manifestation of which in the framework of corporate communication is understudied as a research problem. The authors conclude that corporate activity is reflected in the language and depends on the appropriate use of language models, and the study of dysphemy in corporate communication contributes to a deeper understanding of various business processes from the point of view of the language activity involved in them.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of Australian and New Zealand linquocultural type bogan and its constituent characteristics. Analysis of dictionary definitions, descriptions of the image of bogan in Australian culture reveals modern interpretation of this notion in connection with evolution of the the word meaning. Among recognizable linquocultural types of Australian culture there is an image of an Australian of Anglo-Saxon descent poorly educated and lacking culture, whose views, way of life and speech are considered rude, primitive. There are several subtypes of bogans, including “a cashed up bogan”. Depending on the context this name could be considered as pejorative, self deprecating and lately as full of pride and patriotism. This type opposed itself to values and standards of middle class in the past and now reflects a changing attitude to this social class in Australian society. This type hasn’t been the object of special attention in linguistic literature as yet.

Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the term formation system in the economic field. The author identifies and describes the most productive modern methods and models for the economic terminology formation on the basis of analysis of extensive language material. In this research the author has used component analysis based on vocabulary definitions, field and descriptive methods, as well as elements of quantitative analysis. As a result, the description of a holistic multi-level derivation system of professional terminological vocabulary of the financial and economic field is proposed. The main findings of the study can be used in a comprehensive analysis of ways to form economic terms, applied in the description of other terminological areas, as well as in the compilation of dictionaries and textbooks on economic issues.

Abstract
The aim of the article is to study the dynamics of the linguocultural situation in the era of globalization through the prism of a precedent phenomenon. The identified precedent phenomena collected by the continuous sampling method were subjected to linguocognitive as well as component analysis and are presented in the linguoculturological aspect. With the intensification of intercultural communication values and concepts basic for the ethnic group are gradually transformed, national borders are eroded and, as a result, a number of identities are deformed, and that explains the theoretical and practical significance of the study, since these trends can pose a threat to national security. The study showed that intertextuality, in particular a precedent phenomenon (PF), which determines the perception of what is happening through the prism of one's own - someone else's - universal, becomes one of the main resources of interpreting reality and, at the same time, a mechanism for creating a new world picture, a cognitive paradigm, and a powerful tool for manipulating mass consciousness.

Abstract
Modern anthropocentric paradigm sees analyzing the communicative strategy of discrediting in political discourse as a very important issue. The article suggests that a new term, discrediteme, may be introduced to denote language units that realize the strategy. The aim of the article is to identify stylistically marked discreditemes, count their number as opposed to stylistically neutral ones, and to identify the expressive means in stylistically marked discreditemes. The research confirmed that the strategy of discrediting in the US political discourse is partially realized via stylistic devices inside discreditemes. Thus, introducing the term ‘discrediteme’ unifies the studies of discrediting strategy and facilitates the analysis of the stylistic devices that realize the strategy.

Abstract
The article focuses on analyzing the use of speech verbs as a means of characterizing a literary character’s speech and as the key element of building a negative image. The speech verbs that introduce a character’s direct speech were considered from the point of view of how frequently they appear in T. Pratchett’s works with the purpose of describing a negative character, as well as their role in conceptual metaphor representation. As a result of contextual and definition analysis, a comprehensive classification of language units with this function in these texts is presented in this paper. This research is particularly relevant for the study of linguistic representation of images, literary or otherwise, as well as the ways of applying cognitive principles to text analysis.

What both languages have in common is the tense and aspect categories of the verb. However, each of the two languages has its own specific features in tense and aspect forms.

Abstract
The article presents a study of reproducing rhythm figures while translating literary prose from English into Russian. The author has conducted an experiment based on the use of Rhythmanalysis tool to detect rhythm figures in the novel “Life after life” by K. Atkinson and its translation into Russian. This has provided rich empirical material. During the experiment the author has analyzed the frequency of anaphora, epiphora and simploce use in the original and in the translation as well as how often the translator has managed to preserve the rhythm figures in the Russian text. The analysis has shown that very few of them are reproduced in the translation. The data obtained add to the system of knowledge about using rhythm figures in literary prose and prove the necessity to preserve rhythm in the translation from one language to another.
