Abstract

In the given article the attempt is
made to systematize translator's methods used in
translating fiction of different styles while simultaneously
finding out the influence of some outlanguage
factors on translator's transformations (denotative
background) . The interrelation of author's style,
situation described and using of certain stylistic devices
is also being studied. Theoretical principles are
supported with the examples taken from the classics
of English fiction and poetry and their translations
into Russian.
