Abstract
The article is aimed to show that the theory of semantic field in terminology can be employed as a basis for the declarative knowledge representation. The article pays special attention to the question of different types of associative relations between concepts. The author analyses a group of terms of the semantic field “Stairs” in order to study specific relations between them. The research has shown that intralexic and extralexic linguistic properties can be used to establish relations between notions. The author comes to the conclusion that linguistic and terminological approaches to the study of knowledge acquisition can be computerised due to a certain similarity based on associative relations in the functioning of the human brain, neural networks used in artificial intelligence development as well as the notion of lexical semantic field.

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of speech categories, which, being different from language categories, reveal themselves exclusively in speech situations and, thus, are related to the basic language constant. The selectivity constant can be considered the main language constant. The expression of its meaning presupposes the existence of the categories that are manifested in the act of speech and appear in the form of speech categories. These categories are universal, being based on linguistic matter, they use the grammatical, lexical and phonetic structure of each specific language. Thus, they reflect certain speech situations in which communicants are located.

Abstract
Abstarct. The article analyses the ability of texts with a formally different subject of speech to render the emotive state of the author. The author shows that the shift of language codes from one system to another significantly increases the emotiveness and sense capacity of the text. Discursive analysis, characterized by functional and anthropological approaches, enables the author to find the clue to understanding the text. The main conclusion of the work is that text hybridity, which is the ability to include several subjects of speech, is conveyed both through the form and the context.

Abstract
The article deals with interrelation of categories of modality and negation. The author analyzes different approaches to the issue and offers to consider modality and negation as different although related categories. On the one hand, they have different functions; on the other, we can speak about overlapping of modality and negation fields. It is shown that some structures in German belong to the category of modality and negation simultaneously. Verumfocus in German is an example of this type of structures. The article describes the peculiarity of this phenomenon: it possesses multiplane deixis and cannot be used in illocutive dependent clauses. It makes Verumfocus identical with modal structures, especially those with modal particles, because they are deictics. At the same time Verumfocus conveys negation.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the translation in cinematography. The authors use comparative analysis of translations from Russian into English and into German. Verbal and nonverbal components of movies were studied. The authors analysed ten films and came to the conclusion that the translator must take into account the author’s intention, therefore the presence of realia in the discourse considerably complicates the adequacy in translation. Experience and knowledge of extralinguistic factors help the interpreter to achieve the adequacy in translation.

The article is devoted to the aspects of Chinese verbs from the view of Russian language. The difference between the terms “вид” and “aspect” is determined in the analysis of two typologically distant languages. The description of ways of expressions of aspectual meanings in the Chinese language is given. Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of differences between the original and the translation discourse of Up the Down Staircase by Bel Kaufman as well as the linguocultural characteristics of the texts under consideration. In the study, two translations of the novel Up the Down Staircase into Russian (translations of 1967 and of 2016) were analyzed and 20 most prominent fragments were selected. These extracts were analyzed by methods of comparative and descriptive analysis as well as the elements of discursive analysis. The cultural, historical and social factors that influenced the discourse of translations were also taken into account. The study showed that euphemisms and nicknames associated with race and ethnic origin were omitted in the first translation and included into the second. Fragments related to sexuality and drugs were completely removed from the 1967 translation and partly from the version of 2016. Some phenomena particular to American culture were not reflected in either of the translations.
