FUNCTIONAL FEATURES OF ENGLISH STANCE MARKERS IN A COMMUNICATIVE SITUATION
Abstract
This article highlights functional features of English stance markers in conditions of a communicative situation. The author also classifies stance markers on the basis of pragmatic approach and analyses their parts of speech classification. The article gives statistic data on the frequency of stance markers which prove that the described lexical units are widely used in English discourse.
