Figurative language of Chinese classical poetry

Abstract

Aim. The purpose of this article is to analyze Chinese classical poetry in terms of the linguistic means used, through which the author embodies the ideological and artistic idea.
Methodology. The author describes the literary techniques characteristic of Chinese poetry which are aimed at aesthetic understanding of reality. The study applies cultural and philosophical-aesthetic approaches to the analysis of poetic texts, as well as the method of contextual analysis.
Results. The study concluded that the imagery of classical poetry is inextricably linked to the specific features of the Chinese language as part of traditional culture.
Research implication. The main results of the study can contribute to the further improvement of professional and educational translation activities in the field of Chinese poetry.
