On the strategies of improving Russian teachers` ability: Taking the undergraduate excellent innovation class of Xi`an International Studies University as an example

Abstract
Aim. This paper aims to expound the teaching qualifications of Russian teachers with bachelor's degree in Xi'an International Studies University (XISU).
Methodology. Xi'an International Studies University has experienced foreign language teachers, especially Russian teachers. This paper discusses the reformation strategy of undergraduate Russian teaching in XISU. According to the modern characteristics of foreign teaching of new composite majors, XISU has set up a series of excellent innovation classes. This paper discusses the reformation strategy of undergraduate Russian teaching in XISU, that is, including the course of taking Russian as the foreign language, besides, XISU has successively established excellent diplomatic courses (Russian) and excellent translation courses from Chinese to foreign language (Russian).
Results. The paper puts forward the objectives and methods of improving the ability of undergraduate Russian teachers, focuses on the strategies and measures of improving teachers' ability, and interprets XISU`s future endeavor in extensive cooperation and academic exchanges with Russian universities.
Research implications. The results contribute to translation teaching practice.
