Effect of the deceived expectation in stories for Adult Roald has given

Abstract

This article deals with the role of
stylistic device of defeated expectancy in the short
stories for adults by Roald Dahl. We dwell upon peculiarities
of Roald Dahls short stories and the role
of defeated expectancy in text interpretation. We
give a brief interpretation of 9 stories by Roald Dahl
and on its grounds we draw our conclusions.
