LINGUOSTATISTIC ANALYSIS OF SPEECHES AT THE PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM (ST. PETERSBURG 2018-2019)

Abstract
Purpose of the article is to analyze the speeches of key political leaders at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (2018-2019) from the standpoint of linguistic statistics to identify the formal characteristics and pragmatic aims. Methodology and Approach. The authors analyzed a selection of speech transcripts at the level of media text as a unit of economic forums discourse analysis. The results of linguistic-statistical word processing study by means of SEO-analysis were interpreted. Results. Conclusions concerning the mechanisms of influence and ways of conveying information to the recipients have been made. Several linguistic features of the discourse of economic forums are identified. A review of the semantic means of expressing the speech individuality of key speakers is given. Theoretical implications concern analysis of linguostatistic method usage in the expanded study of the economic forums discourse.
