STYLISTIC ASPECTS OF SPEECH SOUND MODIFICATION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the socioрhonic factor
in sound variation. The author defines and analyses mechanisms
of linguistic change, considered in the context of a linguistic
community; and conducts the experimental phonetic
research. The article views the results of the research which
allowed to estimate the degree of comprehension shown by
students while working on the texts of different styles and
read by native speakers of different ages. The research made
it possible to discover the most complicated moments in the
work with the phonetic material.
