STRATEGIES OF PARTICIPANTS’ INTERACTION IN THE INTERVIEW (GENDER ASPECT)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of feminine speech. Special focus is given to the description of the speech of modern British career women who have achieved success in various professional fields and high status in the society. The author studies communicative strategies and language means used in interviews to project a certain image and maintain effective interaction with the audience. The characteristics of interview as a genre of discourse are described and the process of creating an image aimed at producing certain impact within the framework of an interview is analysed. The results of the study show that analysis of feminine speech should be comprehensive and take into account various social parameters -age, education, social status, origin and profession.
