IMPACT OF TRANSLATION STUDIES ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF LINGUISTIC AND LINGUOCULTURAL ASPECT OF TRANSLATION (ANALYSIS OF AMERICAN FOOTBALL LEXICON)
Abstract
The article describes the cross-cultural aspect of terminological anthropolinguistics in respect to rugby terms denoting types of game combinations in English and Russian languages. We focused on the process of terminology formation and its correlation with anthropolinguistics. The lexicon of game combinations in rugby is the basis of our research. Having carried out the comparative analysis of rugby terms, we came to the conclusion that in many respects the choice of the term depends on the cultural aspect that influences the consciousness of the person.
