GRAMMATICAL INTERFERENCE IN RUSSIAN-SPANISH BILINGUALISM
Abstract
Interference, which is an indispensable characteristic of bilingualism, may be present at different linguistic levels. Interference is especially vivid in oral speech. The article reviews some examples of grammatical interference in Russian-Spanish bilingualism of Russian immigrants living in Spain. In the process of the research some cases of first language interference in Russian-speaking learners’ Spanish were revealed. Special attention is paid to key spheres of grammatical interference such as articles, personal pronouns, gender and number of nouns.
