CULTURAL LINGUISTICS MEANS OF TRANSLATING EXPRESSIVE MEANS IN FANTASY FICTION WORK (IN J.K. ROWLING HARRY POTTER SERIES)

Abstract
The paper presents the expressive means analysis in the context of cultural linguistics paradigm. The characteristic features of fantasy fiction genre are discussed. Expressive and informative means, such as antroponyms and occasional words used to form figurativeness, are highlighted. Their semantic meaning is analyzed. The units under analysis were selected from «Harry Potter» by J.K. Rowling by continuous selection methodology. The analysis of translation of antroponyms and occasional words from English into Russian allowed to define the problems and appropriate ways of translating these units.
