A study of translators’ games in translation activities

Abstract
Aim. The aim of this paper is to study the relationship between the participants in the translation process and their impact on translation from the point of view of game theory.
Methodology. The main methods of research are: observation, classification, interpretation, synthesis.
Results. The article defines the translation process as a multiparty zero-sum game between the translator and the original author, target language readers, other translators, translation initiators, and other translation participants.
Research implications. The research results contribute to the theory of games and translation theory.
