Afghan gluttonic discourse: the specific features of translation into Russian

Abstract
Aim. The study aims at linguoculturological and translation analysis of Afghan gluttonyms.
Methodology. The paper presents the analysis of Afghan gluttonyms in the novels of Khaled Hosseini and Nadia Hashimi. Within the framework of the thematic groups, the linguocultural features of Afghan gluttonyms are described with the main accent on the problem of their interpretation and translation. The complex methodology includes: the method of classification, comparison and the method of contextual analysis.
Results. The study contributes to knowledge on the cultural, linguistic and translation peculiarities of Afghan gluttonic vocabulary in a literary text.
Research implications. The theoretical significance of the study is associated with the possible use of its results in cross-cultural communication. The findings of the research may find practical application in the theory and practice of translation.
