The title paratextuality of a literary text

Abstract

Aim. To evaluate the contemporary outlook on the intertextuality phenomenon for verbal and nonverbal texts.

Methodology. The basis of the research is the analysis of intertexuality properties and functioning through literary texts observation and analysis.

Results. The analysis conducted states that the title paratextuality is the most productive means of actualizing the intertextual network through semantically multidimentional content.

Research implications. The work generalizes the paratextual effects and mechanisms in literary texts analytical reading. Special focus of the work is laid on the context as a means of building intertextual links in a literary text.
