Linguistic and cultural parameters of the identity of Puerto Ricans

Abstract
Aim. To identify and analyze relevant elements of communicative behavior and ideological dominants inherent in Puerto Ricans.
Methodology. A linguoculturological analysis of the modern discursive practices of Puerto Ricans was carried out, through which the key parameters of their identity were determined.
Results. The main speech and behavioral attitudes and discursive parameters of the identity of Puerto Ricans were identified and characterized. The study also stated that the Spanish code shows intergenerational stability.
Research implications. The study reveals the special cultural, linguistic, cognitive, social parameters of the Puerto Rican identity that form and explain the cultural identity of this ethnic group. The results of the study can be applied in teaching Spanish, history and culture of the countries of the studied language and other related disciplines.
