Business discourse: analysis and modeling of discursive events

https://doi.org/10.18384/2310-712X-2023-1-53-62

Abstract

Aim. To establish the integral and differential principles of the linguistic design of the business discourse of German and English.

Methodology. Analysis and modeling of discursive events is carried out on the basis of descriptive and comparative methods, as well as structure analysis and interpretation of information in business discourse when decomposing discourse and discursive events into constituents for their detailed study.

Results. As a result of applying a systematic approach to business discourse, the studied problems were considered as an integral complex of phenomena, analysis of facts in their totality and interrela tion. The presented analysis of discursive events, which fully reflect some specific characteristics of the employment discourse and are an integral part of the discursive structure of employment, most voluminously represents the multi-genre nature of discourse and the variety of discursive actions.

Research implications. The theoretical and/or practical significance of the research lies in the substantiation of the concept of business discourse as a professional institutional education. The practical significance of the work is determined by the possibility of applying the results obtained in various sections of linguistics. Their application will be useful in training future linguists with the latest trends in written communication.
