BRITISH SUPERSTITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH DAYS OF THE WEEK, AND THEIR REFLECTION IN PROVERBS

Abstract

The present article deals with week day superstitions represented in English proverbs. Throughout the periods of history, from ancient to present, people have feared what they didn't understand. They feared and even depended on many things to explain the phenomena happening around them. The article contains the analysis of the assessment component of proverbs with superstitions.
