Abstract
The article is devoted to the peculiarities
of translating the French informal/vulgar vocabulary
into Russian in L.-F. Célines novel Journey
to the End of the Night. The article presents
a detailed comparative analysis of the original text
and its translation, reveals the difficulties associated
with the asymmetry of the French and Russian syntax
constructions and the problem of searching for a
lexical equivalent.
