PECULIARITIES OF MASCULINE WORLD-IMAGE REPRESENTATION IN RUSSIAN, ENGLISH, GERMAN AND ITALIAN PROVERBS AND SAYINGS (BASED ON SEMANTIC GROUP “OLD AGE”)

Abstract

The notion of feminity and masculinity is different in different languages. Each linguoculture has its own definition of these concepts. A very interesting part of the world-image of every language is how such a unique notion as “Old age” is being depicted as it is not only a biological but also a psychological and sociological category. This article aims to analyze how semantic group “Old age” is described in Russian, English, German and Italian masculine world-image.
