PECULIARITIES OF FUNCTIONING OF CELTICISMS WHICH CHARACTERIZE OBJECTS OF NATURE IN ENGLISH
Abstract
The article analyses peculiarities of functioning of words-realia, which denote valleys and lakes in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It considers synonyms, which name these objects and their connotations. Spheres and limits which the conditions of communicative situation lay down on their usage are systemized.
