В центре внимания авторов статьи - понятия «теория перевода», «переводческая концепция», «переводческая традиция» «взгляды на перевод» и др., используемые в трудах по истории перевода и переводческой мысли и рассматриваемые в различных аспектах. Отмечается, что в ряде случаев наблюдается определённое несовпадение в понимании указанных терминов, следствием чего является различная их трактовка в переводоведческих трудах. В связи с этим проводится анализ названных понятий (главным образом, применительно к средневековой эпохе) и предпринимается попытка установить присущую им специфику.
Some aspects of the notions ‘the theory of translation’, ‘the conception of translation’, ‘the translational tradition’, ‘the views on translation’, etc., used in the research on history of translation and translational thought, are discussed in the article. It is mentioned, that some authors don't make any substantial differentiation between these terms, so they may have different meaning in translatology studies. The present paper represents an attempt to analyze the mentioned terms and to establish their specificity, mainly with reference to the Middle Ages period.
