В статье анализируется ситуация в области перевода русской литературы на корейский язык с момента заключения дипломатических отношений между Республикой Корея и Российской Федерацией в 1990 г. до 2016 г. При анализе учитывались такие факторы, как общее количество опубликованных переводов, распределение переведённых произведений по векам, жанрам, авторам, проведено сравнение с переводами художественных произведений таких стран, как США, Франция, Германия и Япония. Как показывает анализ, переводы художественных произведений XIX в. составляют 57 % от общего числа переводов, причём переводы прозаических произведений занимают 850/я. Проведённый анализ позволяет авторам статьи утверждать, что для формирования объективного образа России в Корее необходимо расширить спектр переводимых жанров и авторов, не ограничиваясь только литературой XIX в.
The purpose of the paper is to analyze the contemporary situation of translation of Russian Literature in Korea since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Russia in 1990. The following aspects were taken into account: historic periods, authors, and genres, comparison with translations of literature from the USA, France, Germany and Japan was made. The study has shown that translated works of the XIX centuary Russian Literature constitute about 57 % of all translations, as for the genre, translations of novels amount to 85 %. It can be concluded that special measures should be taken to enlarge the spectrum of translated works of various genres and authors other than the XIX century, in order to present an objective and appropriate image of Russia and Russian culture in Korea
