Анализируется структура антропонимов, выделяются наиболее типичные онимические основы, исследуется этимология именных компонентов. Проведённый анализ показывает, что антропонимы и топонимы играют важную роль в тексте, однако их транслитерированные варианты без переводческого комментария в русском переводе не несут смысловую нагрузку оригинала.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article focuses on methods of intralingual and interlingual translation of Old English anthroponyms and toponyms in Anglo-Saxon poem “Beowulf”. The author analyses the structure of anthroponyms, marks out the most typical components and studies their etymology. The analysis shows that these units play an important role in the text.
