Цель. Выявление способов выражения миративных значений в немецком языке с дальнейшим определением статуса категории миративности.

Процедура и методы

Процедура и методы. Были использованы общенаучные методы наблюдения, анализа и синтеза, а также частнолингвистические методы контекстуального анализа и описательный метод. Примеры были отобраны из немецких корпусов DECOW 16A и DWDS.

Результаты

Результаты. Категория миративности может рассматриваться как один из вариантов проявления эпистемичности и коррелирует с контрастом и эмфазой: говорящий должен признать новое положение дел как соответствующее истине, а имевшиеся ранее собственные представления о нём предстают как ложные. Миративная семантика как периферийное значение проявляется в определённом контекстуальном окружении.

Теоретическая и практическая значимость. Полученные результаты вносят определённый вклад в описание категории миративности в немецком языке. Практическая значимость заключается в том, что полученные результаты могут быть использованы на семинарских занятиях по теоретической грамматике немецкого языка со студентами языковых вузов.

Aim

Aim. Identification of ways of expressing mirativity meanings in German with further definition of the status of this category.

Methodology

Methodology. General scientific methods of observation, analysis, and synthesis were used, as well as specific linguistic methods of contextual analysis and a descriptive method. The examples were selected from the German DECOW 16A and DWDS сorps.

Results

Results. The category of mirativity can be considered as one of the manifestations of epistemicity and correlates with contrast and emphasis: the speaker must recognize the new state of affairs as true, while their previously held ideas about it are presented as false. Mirative semantics as a peripheral meaning manifests itself in a specific contextual environment.

Research implications

Research implications. The obtained results make a contribution to the description of the category of mirativity in the German language. The practical significance lies in the fact that the results obtained can be used in seminars on theoretical grammar of the German language with students of language universities or faculties.
