Цель: разработать принципы научного описания закономерностей перевода в зависимости от типологических различий английского и русского языков.Процедура и методы. Проанализировано изложение материала в наиболее известных работах по теории перевода в паре английский – русский, определён характер этих работ как дидактический. Методом сопоставления структуры и содержания таких изданий выявлены лакуны и проблемы теоретического осмысления вопросов частной теории перевода.Результаты. Предложены и обоснованы четыре принципа изложения концепции перевода, которые интегрируют подходы в рамках лингвистической, интерпретативной и коммуникативно-функциональной парадигм изучения перевода.Теоретическая и/или практическая значимость. Выдвинуты методологические основы частной теории перевода и структурирован подход к осмыслению вопросов перевода в одной языковой паре, который впоследствии может быть распространён на другие пары языков

Aim. The purpose of the article is to develop principles for the scientific description of translation patterns depending on the typological differences between the English and Russian languages.Methodology. The presentation of the material in the most famous works on the translation theory in the English-Russian pair is analyzed, the nature of these works is determined as didactic. By comparing the structure and content of such publications, gaps and problems in the theoretical understanding of the translation theory are revealed.Results. Four principles of presentation of the concept of translation are proposed and substantiated, which integrate approaches within the framework of linguistic, interpretive and communicative-functional paradigms of translation studies.Research implications. The methodological foundations of the translation theory are put forward and an approach to understanding translation issues in one language pair is structured, which can subsequently be extended to other pairs of languages
