Цель: проанализировать парагвайское медиапространство на предмет присутствия в нём материалов, посвящённых языку и культуре гуарани.
Процедура и методы. Ключевым исследовательским методом, применяемым в данной работе, является анализ материала исследования и соответствующей научной литературы. Проведён анализ содержания статей Correo Semanal – электронного приложения к парагвайской ежедневной газете Última Hora. На первом этапе исследования методом сплошной выборки были рассмотрены все тексты газеты Última Hora в период с 2010 по 2022 год, затем из общего массива материалов было отобрано 12 статей релевантной тематики. Кроме того, автором анализируется социокультурный контекст, обусловивший формирование парагвайского языкового сообщества и парагвайской национальной идентичности, актуальной социолингвистической ситуации.
Результаты. В ходе исследования автор устанавливает обусловленность парагвайской национальной идентичности языком и культурой гуарани. В результате анализа было определено, что именно с помощью средств массовой информации выстраивался феномен парагвайской национальной идентичности, основанный главным образом на особенностях его языкового сообщества. Несмотря на то, что базовой для парагвайского общества является защита национальной идентичности в эпоху глобализации, государство и СМИ также уделяют внимание поддержанию интеграционных связей с южноамериканским континентом.
Теоретическая и/или практическая значимость заключается в установлении приоритетной роли языка гуарани в формировании парагвайской национальной идентичности. Кроме того, формулируется положение о перспективности диахронических исследований парагвайского медиапространства на предмет присутствия в нём материалов о культуре и языке гуарани.
Aim. To analyze the Paraguayan media space for the presence of materials on the Guarani language and culture in it.
Methodology. The key research method used in this work is the analysis of the research material and the relevant academic literature. The analysis of the content of the articles of Correo Semanal, an electronic supplement to the Paraguayan daily newspaper Última Hora, was carried out. At the first stage of the study, all the texts of Última Hora in the period from 2010 to 2022 were considered by the method of continuous sampling, then 12 articles were selected from the total array of materials on topics that were relevant to this research. In addition, the author analyzes the socio-cultural context that led to the formation of the Paraguayan language community and the Paraguayan national identity, as well as the current sociolinguistic situation.
Results. In the course of the study, the author establishes the conditionality of Paraguayan national identity with the Guarani language and culture. As a result of the analysis, it was found that it was with the help of the media that the phenomenon of Paraguayan national identity was built, based mainly on the characteristics of its linguistic community. Despite the fact that the protection of national identity in the era of globalization is basic for Paraguayan society, the state and the media also pay attention to maintaining integration ties with the South American continent.
Research implications. The study establishes the priority of the Guarani language in the formation of the Paraguayan national identity. In addition, a provision is formulated on the prospects of diachronic studies of the Paraguayan media space for the presence of materials about the Guarani culture and language in them.
